I’ve been sulking for past few months so I haven’t gotten anything cosplay related done.
However, for some reason, I got a burst of energy and been sewing and making stuff during the past week.
So Voila.
Here is my current progress of The Wood Clow Card (my cosplay for Wai-con 2013).
The first picture is the completed base dress that I sewed up (It so pwetty :3 It is like my yr 12 ball gown). I say base dress, because it will be decorated with flowers, branches, vines etc etc
The second picture is of my wigs BEFORE it was teased and decorated. You can’t see very well, but there is two wigs. One wig has been massacred/sacrificed to be used as extensions for the other wig. Lying around the mannequin head is the plaits that been made from the sacrificed wig.
I would show a picture of how I look like wearing the outfit & the wig, but for some reason I look strange. Basically just imagine me looking like a ‘crazy old witch that lives in the wood’…cause my sister went crazy when she teased the wig.
It’s a New Year and with it comes a fresh opportunity to shape our world.
So this is my wish, a wish for me as much as it is a wish for you: in the world to come, let us be brave – let us walk into the dark without fear, and step into the unknown with smiles on our faces, even if we’re…

“Dragon Scale Gauntlets”
Is this not the most coolest thing ever!? Basically they are knitted gloves with scales on it. You can buy them on etsy and it is advertised as ‘Dragon scale gauntlets’. So cool.
These pair I made myself. I didn’t buy the ones on etsy because I wanted to try making them :3
It took alot of trial & error and it was difficult because I had no knitting skills at all (youtube tutorials ftw!) - but I finally got them the way I like it ^.^
I have more scales, so maybe in a few months, I will hopefully have a bunch of (better) pictures of different designs.
| pancakestacks TAG. YOU’RE IT. The rules are to state 10 random facts about yourself. Then, go to your ten favorite blogs and tell them they are in it too. |
1. I like the smell of clean bed sheets.
2. I will most likely kill myself in the first 5 minutes of a Zombie Apocalypse.
3. If I feel like surviving the Z. Apocalypse- I will most likely work alone. If I don’t, I will use everyone around me to ensure my survival.
4. Chocolate Mudcake is my favourite cake. But i like ‘Greens’ as it has yummy icing.
5. My first cosplay was Subaru Sumeragi. I was pretty sad and disappointed that no one recognized me.
6. I think fact 5 must have affected me as I always cosplay as characters that aren’t ‘popular’. I quite like it. While it would be nice to be recognized, I am quite happy with dressing up however I want to and no one bothering me.
7. I can cook two things. Spaghetti and toast (with egg + ham).
8. I can’t cook mi goreng. It never turns out right.
9. I am stingy with money when it comes to essential items. I don’t spend over $30 on any essential clothing. However when it comes to non-essential items, I gladly will spend a large amount. My cosplays are at least $200, my t&b figurines were almost $200 and my lolita dresses are $100ish (though they are non-brand and I owe a fake/replica :P).
10. Every year my new year resolution is to grow taller. It never happens.
Bonus: I found this ridiculously easy to answer.
a woman can preach, a woman can work, a woman can fight, a woman can build, can rule, can conquer, can destroy just as much as a man can.
“How come he don’t want me, man?”
From what I’ve heard, Will Smith’s father actually left him. This wasn’t entirely scripted. Will went off on his own rant, and the hug at the end was genuine.
